About the Programme
Journalism department provides post-graduate education in the master and pHD programmes, with its broad and qualified academic staff. These programmes provide the students to write thesis about communication in general and journalism in particular, without neglecting the current issues and debates in political and social theory. Starting from both the cultural studies and political economy approaches, the post-graduate programmes give the students an historical point of view and faciliate understanding and analysing current media, society and culture problems, as well as obtaining them to make peculiar works around these problems. The participants of the programmes make contribution to the communication studies in Turkey with the papers they prepare during the lessons and their thesis.
